In 2011, Google added graphing calculator
functionality right into the search results. It can be used to draw a graph of
complicated functions by simply using Google search. Just type in any
mathematical function then click search button and then Google will draw a
graph for the function.
Check out this function’s graph on Google Search
bar.
Simple function in Google Graph
Interesting, right? But do you know that you can
even use Google Graph to draw a heart (love) with a little tricks? Sure, there’s
no real equation for love, but Google help you to make it possible. Just try
this function in Google’s search bar.
(sqrt(cos(x))*cos(75x)+sqrt(abs(x))-.7)*(4-x*x)^.2,
sqrt(9-x^2), -sqrt(9-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5, -x
…Voila, you have your very own Google Heart. You
also show your heart to someone you love like the way Google did.
Google Heart
Following functions will draw another heart
graphs, try it yourself.
(sqrt(cos(x))*cos(200x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01, sqrt(9-x^2),
-sqrt(9-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5
(sqrt(cos(x))*cos(200*x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01,sqrt(9-x^2),-sqrt(9-x^2)
sqrt(1-(abs(x)-1)^2), arccos(1-abs(x))-pi
abs(x)-(1-x^2)^(1/2), abs(x)+(1-x^2)^(1/2), x+ 0.25 from -3 to 3
(sqrt(cos(x))*cos(400*x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.4)*(4-x*x)^0.1
Google Graph covers a wide range of single
variable functions, including exponential, trigonometric, logarithmic and their
compositions. In other words, with these mathematical capabilities, you can
also graph fun images like the Batman symbol.
For Batman lovers, try this function in Google
search.
